Experimental and theoretical researches oriented to technology applications as well as fundamental understanding are welcome. General areas of interest are in three categories, as follows:
Category I: Circuit Design Technologies
This area covers the broad scope of circuit design, including digital, analog and RF.
Category II: Electronic Device and Process Technologies
This area includes a wide range of electronic device structures, including Si CMOS, sensors, memory technologies and MEMS. Also solicited are processing techniques for the manufacturing of electronic devices.
Category III: Physics, Chemistry of Material for Nano-Scale Devices
This area covers the whole range of materials used in the manufacture of nano-scale electronics devices.
Eligibility
Researchesin the areas of interest carried out in current academic year by graduate students shall be eligible for this year’s Research Award competition.
Upon submission, the applicant must acquire a student identify. Applicants fail to meet this requirement will be disqualified.
Prize
The grand prize winner is awarded NTD150,000 scholarship. The second place winner receives NTD120,000, and the third place winner NTD90,000. Other finalists each receives NTD10,000 prize

The purpose of the Outstanding Project Report Award is to recognize exceptional semiconductor related short term study projects carried out by undergraduate students in universities in Taiwan.
Project reports are solicited in the areas of electronic device and process technologies and material characterization. Experimental and theoretical work for practical applications or fundamental understanding is welcome. General areas are:
Device Technologies
This area covers the broad scope of microelectronics devices, including MOS, bipolar, MEMS and sensor technologies.
Process Technologies
This area covers all aspects of processing used to manufacturing microelectronic devices.
Physics, Chemistry of Material Characterization and Analysis
This area covers the whole range of materials used in the manufacture of microelectronic devices.
Eligibility
Study projects related to the areas of interest carried out in Taiwan domestic universities in current academic year are eligible for the year’s Project Report Award competition.
Prize
The grand prize winner is awarded NTD50,000 scholarship. The second place winner receives NTD30,000, and the third place winner NTD20,000. Other finalists each receive NTD5,000 prize
