Course: Frontiers of Semiconductor Science and Technology
This 2 credit-hour course titled Frontiers of Semiconductor Science and Technology, with its center objective in giving the enrolled students a whole picture of semiconductor fundamentals as well as applications of advance semiconductor technologies, comprises 8 units that are instructed by senior professionals from R&D, DTP, Manufacturing and Marketing in TSMC. The 8 units are:
- Semiconductor Technology Overview & Outlook
- Si Technology Overview
- Process Module
- Fabrication Process Integration
- Testing & Packaging
- Device Modeling
- Circuit Design
- Outlook of Semiconductor Applications
Pre-requisite Course
This course are designed for senior students and graduate students. The pre-requisites are General Physics, General Chemistry and Modern Physics/Quantum Physics.

This program, in collaboration with Department of Electronical & Electronics, National Taiwan university, aims to encourage students to take semiconductor related fundamental knowledges. A certificate will be conferred after completion of 15 credit hours.
